Price takes 2nd at SM100, lots of IF love spread through the field

The Floyd Factor was huge at this year's Shenandoah Mountain 100, causing (I believe) a first-ever sellout. With about 450 racers on the line Sunday at dawn, several IF racers were representing, proudly flying the green and riding many variations of the best bikes in the world. Team members who raced included Buck Keich, Harlan Price, Harvey Minton, Jeff Whittingham, Lloyd Graves, Mike "I'm gonna ride my bike ALLLLLLL DAAAAAAYYYYY!!!!!!" Ramponi, Patrick Jones and Pat "Swampie" Riggins.

Harlan battled with Landis all day, finally breaking clear on the final descent and finishing 2nd with a 1:30 lead over Landis. Harlan's finish also put him 2nd overall in the NUE Series behind Chris Eatough. In the Open division, 2 other riders cracked the top 20, with Harvey Minton finishing 13th and Jeff Whittingham finishing 15th. In the Singlespeed division, Mike Ramponi rode his bike ALLLLLLL DAAAAAAYYYYY to a 6th place finish, with Buck Keich close behind, finishing 8th. Independent Fabrication tied Trek/VW and Bear Naked/Cannondale for the most racers finishing in the top 20 overall, with 3 racers from each squad in the top 20.
